Building Balance
Supporting Wellness. Empowering Confidence. Providing Real Tools for women across North Carolina — because confidence begins when balance becomes your foundation.
I am honored to serve as Miss Wake County 2026 and use this opportunity to advocate for wellness, confidence, and community impact across North Carolina.
Through my initiative, Building Balance, I am passionate about helping young women create healthy habits, strengthen mental wellness, and realize their worth from the inside out.
"I'm not just preparing for a title — I'm preparing to serve."
Impact at a Glance
Hi, I'm Gianna Buff — a student at NC State University majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing.
I am passionate about leadership, wellness, community service, and using my voice to create meaningful change. As the first-ever Miss Wake County, I'm proud to represent a title rooted in service, scholarship, and sisterhood.
As a student balancing academics, leadership, and personal growth, I know firsthand how easy it is to feel overwhelmed. Building Balance was born from my own journey of learning that confidence doesn't come from perfection — it comes from showing up for yourself every day.
When I'm not preparing for competition or serving in the community, you can find me dancing, spending time with my pets, grabbing coffee, and embracing every opportunity for growth.
Supporting Wellness. Empowering Confidence. Providing Real Tools.
Building Balance was created from what I see every day: students and young women feeling pressure to do it all while silently struggling with stress, burnout, confidence, and comparison.
"Confidence begins when balance becomes your foundation."
I believe wellness should feel realistic — not restrictive. Through speaking engagements, service projects, campus outreach, and digital education, Building Balance helps others create sustainable habits that support mental and physical wellness.
Reducing stigma and connecting young women with the campus and crisis support they need.
Practical tools to build self-worth from the inside out — far beyond appearance.
Reframing wellness as how you feel, not how you look. Strength over perfection.
Affordable gyms, healthy food, and movement options that meet people where they are.
Building sisterhood through service, speaking, and shared accountability.
Partnering with School Meals for All NC so every child can learn fueled and ready.
Small, repeatable habits that compound — because balance is built daily, not perfectly.
A goal of visiting a school in every NC county and reaching 10,000 students.
Wellness begins with access, education, and community support. Here's what Building Balance is already doing across North Carolina.
Collected and donated wellness essentials to the Women's Center of Wake County — making care visible and accessible to women in need.
A weekly digital series sharing confidence, nutrition, movement, and mindset tips — meeting young women where they already are.
Organized fundraising efforts benefiting the NC State Wellness Center and School Meals for All NC — because no child should learn on an empty stomach.
Winning Miss Wake County at only my second pageant was a moment that changed my life.
This title has given me a greater purpose: to serve others, grow as a leader, and represent women who are driven, compassionate, and unafraid to dream bigger.
The first-ever Miss Wake County titleholder.

Sharing wellness and confidence with Cardinal Gibbons Dance Team.
Mobilizing community partners around the NC State Wellness Center.
Training, serving, and showing up — every single day.
Wellness should be accessible to everyone. Whether you're a student, parent, or young woman trying to prioritize your health — these resources are here to help you take your next step.
As a college student, I know firsthand how overwhelming life can feel. Most NC colleges offer free or low-cost counseling and crisis resources.
Movement should feel empowering, not intimidating. Find a gym, studio, walking trail, or class that makes you feel alive.
Healthy eating doesn't have to be restrictive or boring. Food is fuel — and balance means enjoying meals that nourish body and mind.
One of the causes closest to my heart is ensuring no child has to learn on an empty stomach. Every child deserves nutritious meals and the opportunity to thrive.
